Q: Where are you located?
A: We are conveniently located at 1601 Lombard Street, 1st Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19146. We boast the benefits of being located in Center City while still maintaining a small community environment in our quiet, residential area.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We are open Monday –Friday from 7 am to 6 pm.
Q: What ages do you serve?
A: We serve children from ages 18 months to Kindergarten as well as school age children in our before/aftercare program.
Q: What is your capacity?
A: Our capacity is 31 children.
Q: Do you have secure entrances?
A: Yes, we have an audio/video camera, intercom system.
Q: Do you have any other kind of security/surveillance devices?
A: Yes, we have a state of the art surveillance system with cameras throughout the
Center that we can monitor on-site and remotely.
Q: Do you have an open door policy?
A: Yes, we encourage our parents to visit their children
Q: How do parents keep informed about their child’s daily activities?
A: Aside from being a small center in which verbal communication with parents is facilitated, we also use a detailed daily report.
Q: Are lunches and snacks provided?
A: Apple Blossom provides fruit, dry snacks and yogurt for am and pm snacks. Lunches are provided by parents and served by our staff. Although we do provide cheese pizza once per month.
Q: Do you have a before/after care program?
A: Yes, we care for school age children from 7am to 8:30am and from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Q: Are fees required on days that the center is closed and when the child is absent?
A: Apple Blossom requires that fees are paid on days that we are closed and for child absences.
Q: Do you offer any tuition discounts?
A: Yes, Apple Blossom offers a $125.00 tuition credit for families whose referral results in enrollment. Note: Families must stay enrolled for at least three months.
Q: What is your school closing policy?
A: We close a total of 15 times a year for holidays and professional development. In the event of inclement weather, we follow the School District of Philadelphia Emergency Closings and Delayed Openings.
