Although I have many day care facilities close to my home, I travel on two trains to take my 3-year-old daughter to Apple Blossom and its well worth the travel. I sent my child to two other day care facilities which she did not adapt well too; however, she has adjusted so well to Apple Blossom and she loves going there everyday! I’m content knowing that she is in a structured, loving environment where the teachers are caring and well educated.

Im very happy with Apple Blossom. Mas Makaya, Ms. Tyarrah and Ms. Sophally are experienced caring individuals who seem to love what they do and it shows. I’m always excited to see what new project my son created or what new words he learned while at school. Most importantly, my son loves his teachers and his classmates at Apple Blossom and always seem to have a good time.

My daughter started at Apple Blossom Day School when she was three months old. It was very hard to go back to work and leave my child at a daycare, but in my career as a neuroscientist, staying home was not an option. The experience was made infinitely better by the knowledge that the caretakers at Apple Blossom Day School grew to genuinely love my daughter and took amazing care of her. When I initially interviewed the daycare I was told to get my daughter used to being put down and not held all the time as this is not a possibility in a multi-child care situation. I was deeply amused that when ever I came into the daycare to pick up Emma she was constantly in someone's arms. Multiple caretakers at the daycare informed me with a big smile "Emma really likes to be held".
As she grew, the number of positive ways this daycare contributed to her life experience became clear. She was very outgoing and social for a child her age, she learned to share, became verbal very early and formed friendships with both the caretakers and other children in her group. As she neared two years old we had to move back to NY for work reasons. My greatest anxiety in the move was finding a daycare that would provide as loving an environment for her as Apple Blossom Day School. In the end, I picked a daycare that was similar in size and learning philosophy since I felt that it was ideal for providing her with the individual attention that she needs. I was surprised that the class that she initially went in to for a few months until she turned 2 was not as structured or developed at the new daycare as the one she had left at Apple Blossom. It was not until she moved up to the next level (2-3 year olds) that she was exposed to the same type of activities (circle time, drawing and crafts) that she was doing at Apple Blossom in the 1-2 year old room. I was also deeply touched that when we left Apple Blossom her teachers put together an album for Emma of her experiences and friends there. In addition they wrote a letter to our new daycare to let them know about their experiences with and their love for Emma. They provided contact information incase her new caretakers had any questions. They also sent her into the new daycare with her napper from Apple Blossom in an attempt to make the transition easier. To this day she still sleeps on it. I have recommend Apple Blossom Day School to friends. I think it is an ideal environment for early child care.
